#Power That Matters When Needed
#PowerThatMatters For the last 2 years we have been lucky. We have only had a few short glitches, rather than a real power faliure. It seems as if the rule of thumb has become that my wife be out of town, and I be home alone. The last real one that we had was when a small tornado came roaring down the block. It knocked down a few trees and sent some limbs through a few roofs. I was lucky and only had a mess to clean up and deal with a several hour outage. Back then I rolled out my Delta2 Max with 2 EBs to power my fridge and freezer. My internet was covered with a River 2 acting as a UPS. I only needed to use another River 2 to get my 24 inch TV working. But that was then, and this is now. Should we have that happen again there is no rush to wheel out the Max. Now all refridgeration is connected to four Delta3 Classics in UPS mode. The River 2s have been updated to River3 Plus with EBs. So today sitting in reserve are the Delta2 Max with EBs, Delta Max 2000, 3 River2s and a couple of more River3 Plus with EBs and another Classic. I just did a recalibration of all, and learned that I can power what I need for almost 3 days without recharging. If I do need to recharge I will break out my alternato rcharger and a couple of solar panels. All that being said, my wife is heading out of town again in a couple of weeks. Just as the Atlantic Ocean is begining to wake up for Huricane season. Wish me luck !!! lol
