EF Savings Five Months In

Since installing my SHP2 and DPUs and solar since February 2026, I’ve saved $1,081.43 so far. Not even a full six months yet! The high savings I get is because I live in Southern California where it’s one of the most expensive rates per kWh. I believe my power company (SCE) is the third most expensive, behind SDG&E and PG&E.How much have you saved this year so far? Post screen shots!

#FindEcoFlowEverywhere . Love this Solar hat. I have used it out on my boat couple times trickle charging my phone. Great for golf course or fishing. Also using it on the beach . It is great to keep your phone topped off when in your pocket on a bike ,hiking and or walking around

Trying To Offset Peak Pricing

In Myrtle Beach South Carolina we have two power companies. Both started peak pricing in April of 2025. During April until October the hours are 3PM-6PM. From October until April the hours are 6AM-9AM. During those hours our rates increase by 100 times. That is not a typo it is 100 times. Now they don't charge us that insane rate through the entire peak pricing time. What they do is take the one hour that month that you used the the most power during those hours, and hit you with that crazy rate. Last month we were charged $45 for that one hour. We knew we would take that little hit because we had to host a baby shower during that time period. To help offset those charges we normally turn the central a/c off during that period. Also I have Four Delta 3 Classics set up on smart plugs that act as UPSs at all times but during those 3 hours take over running the fridge in the garage, the fridge out on my screened in porch, my kitchen fridge, and our lttle chest freezer that is also in our kitchen. Comparing our bills that we get now we average about $100 saving per month over what we were paying before peak pricing began.

TOU to save during peak electrical hours

My state pumps up the electrical rate from 6-9pm to around 7x the normal cost, so I use the SHP2/DPU's scheduled tasks mode to act as a time-of-use guardian. It uses battery power during those peak hours (and other hours too if I have enough), while using the grid the other times. It sucks that my solar array has been down lately during peak summer season, but at least the SHP2/DPU is still saving me money.

My Report on Solar Power Generation: June 2026

Greetings, everyone!I'm sharing monthly status reports on a different platform with numbers on my power generation and updates on my setup. I'm thinking this might be of interest to others, and I took the freedom to repost my latest report (I haven't compiled my numbers for July yet).In June, I disconnected the two panels from a faulty Stream Microinverter and moved them to a brand new Stream Pro. A few things I learned after using EcoFlow

After using EcoFlow for a while, I realized that the way I use it makes a pretty big difference. When there’s enough sunlight, I try to charge it with solar during the day and save the battery for nighttime. I also make a habit of turning off anything I’m not using.These things seem pretty simple, but they’ve helped me worry less about running out of power.Over time, they’ve also helped me rely less on grid power and potentially lower my electricity bill.

I have a regular power station but lately it feels like it's not enough. I've been using it a lot more lately due to my work and it's been chewing up the battery faster than I thought.Should I upgrade to a bigger power station? Is this worth it? How much money could I save?Help appreciated. ty

Stretching Your Runtime During an Outage 📺

100% by 1:30 pm

On a typical summer day, my home depletes my 74kWh DPU batteries down to 70%. My solar panels recharges it back to 100% by 1:30 pm while still normally powering my home.

Little pv in southern Poland

Hi EF family! Greetings from Poland. I will tell You about my little pv instalation that i have in my house.I run two ecoflow microinverters 800w each + stream ac pro 1.92kWh + stream ac 1.92kWh. Thd solar panela are 2 pc of jasolar 500w facing south (45dg), 1 pc of jasolar 500w facing west (70dg) and 1 pc of jasolar 430w facing south (70dg).My house is runing a 3 phase electric instalation, and my energy operator provides phase balancing so i can give electricity on one of the phases and take it back on other one for free but only i 1h spread.Before i instaled the pv i used around 250kWh/month. The electricty price is ~0.27$ - all day long, everyday.This year the production is little over 1MWh :) i think it’s not bad… at least my bills say so. On july i took only 22kWh from the grid. So i think it is worth every penny. Max day production - 10kWh. Total cost of the pv was around 1.7k $

As I improve my shed/workshop set up I plan on adding a starlink mini. I was planning to mount next to solar panels so I can take down easier when we go to the lake, but while it's mounted at home I was trying to decide on getting the 12v adapter. Has anyone had problems with it plugged in to 12 volt adapter? I thought it might be more efficient on my delta 3 plus with expansion leaving on all the time, worse case if have few cloudy days in a row I have a 2nd 1kw expansion I could swap out.

When to recharge DPUs from grid versus use straight grid power?

Because some critters recently chewed up my solar cables, I have been foregoing all solar. But one thing I'm trying to determine is if it's better to charge up my DPUs from grid power at night, when the rates are lowest (around 4-5 cents per kwh) and drain the DPUs during the day (when rates are about 6-7 cents per kwh, not including the 51 cents per kwh during peak hours from 6-9pm), or to simply use grid power directly throughout the day and only switch to DPU power during peak hours.I know there are charging and discharging inefficiencies, but does that inefficiency fluctuate depending on how fast I am recharging or discharging? This will all get even more complicated in 2027 when my utility introduces a new demand charge (a special rate based on the 15-minute period during the day when my electrical use was highest).
