Using my EcoFlow RIVER and 110W panel on a rafting trip
This summer, I took my EcoFlow RIVER series power station and 110W portable solar panel on a river rafting trip, and it ended up being one of the most useful pieces of gear I brought. One of my goals was to have enough portable power to run Starlink for part of the trip so our group could check in, stay connected, and share some of the highlights with family and friends who weren’t able to come. It was a fun way to bring a little connectivity to a remote trip without needing a noisy generator or a much larger power setup. What I liked most was how portable and flexible the system was. The RIVER was easy to bring along, and the panel gave me a way to top things off during the trip. For a rafting trip, that balance of portability and usefulness mattered more to me than having the biggest battery possible. Has anyone else used a RIVER series unit and portable solar panel for Starlink or communication gear on outdoor trips? I’d be interested to hear what setups have worked well for others.
