Making EB300/EB600 Power Easier to Grab and Go with a Quick-Detach Handle

The EB300 and EB600 are easy to think of as “extra batteries,” but one of the things I really like about them is that they’re super useful on their own!

The EB300 especially is a surprisingly capable little unit for its size. With bidirectional USB-C and up to 140W output, it can run or recharge a lot of everyday gear without needing to be connected to the main RIVER 3 Plus. Laptops, tablets, phones, cameras, lights, small USB-C gear — it turns into a compact standalone power source pretty quickly.

The only part that always felt a little off to me was carrying it.

For something that portable and useful, the EB300/EB600 shape can be awkward to grab when you’re moving around the house, heading outside, packing for a trip, working at a job site, or carrying other gear at the same time. That matters even more for anyone with limited grip strength or dexterity, or anyone who only has one hand free.

So I designed a quick-detach carry handle that snaps into the existing mounting hardware. No tools, no extra hardware, and no modification to the battery. It locks in securely when you want a proper grip, then comes off when you don’t need it.

For me, this is what #PowerThatMatters means: not just having power available, but making it easier to reach, carry, and actually use in real life.

I made an initial EB300-only version, and later an upgraded version that fits both the EB300 and EB600. Sharing here because these batteries are already great standalone power sources — this just helps them feel more grab-and-go!
