Now that my backyard is no longer suitable for solar panels (angle and path of sun creates almost all day shade). I have moved my 220w bifacial panels out to the side yard that gets 3-4 hours of sun (1st pic). However, that also means that anything I am charging from those, has to hang out in the open weather instead of being on my covered back porch. My one spare garden cart is used to protect the larger stations that I have on the 320w panels to the left of those, so I don't have a method of protecting against the pop up showers we have on a regular basis.After looking at the front of my shed, I realized that I could probably place the 100w rigid panels there and run the wires under the door so whatever I am charging can stay in the shed itself (2nd pic). It turns out that 2 of the panels fit very nicely on one side of the door. And, they have already been wind tested without any issues (although I may find a way to anchor them a bit).I don't use these every day, but did move an R3+ into the shed yesterday as low scudding clouds raced into the area. And, once snow starts, they will be more useful.I am looking into getting a waterproof pass thru or entry gland for the cables into the shed instead of under the door. Oh, and I was out of "EC jail" so was able to order another pair of 100w rigid panels last night to place on the other side of the door.And, for those that don't know, I have 4x320w panels on the shed's roof already for charging larger stations.

I was so excited when I got my EcoFlow Smart Generator 4000, and one of the biggest reasons was how easy it is to start.I’m 57 years old, and I don’t have the muscles I had when I was younger. 😂 Pulling and pulling on a generator cord is not something I want to be doing, especially during a power outage when I’m already frustrated, it might be cold outside, and I’m trying to get my batteries charged back up.That’s what I like about this generator. I can press the electric start button, or I can start it through the EcoFlow app. No standing there fighting with a pull cord every time.And yes, it still has the pull cord if you ever need it, but I love knowing that doesn’t have to be my main way of starting it.If you’re older, don’t have a lot of upper-body strength, or you simply don’t want to wrestle with a generator during an outage, an electric and app start can make things a whole lot easier.This is exactly why the Generator 4000 is becoming my go-to generator.
