☀️ Surplus electricity turns into hot water — try my-PV with EcoFlow

Hello friends at EcoFlow!👋Any leftover photovoltaic power during the day can be used to boil water.🚿☀️After connecting my-PV to the EcoFlow home energy system, you can manage compatible heating rods within the EcoFlow App, making the solar energy at home more useful.Currently, it only supports OCEAN 2 and OCEAN 2 Single-Phase along with AC ELWA 2.💡 What can I do after binding my-PV?☀️ Use the remaining electricity to boil waterIn solar mode, the heating rod uses residual photovoltaic electricity to heat water to the preset solar target temperature.🌡️ Manage heating as neededIt supports two modes: manual mode and solar mode. Manual mode supports boost heating, and turning on the heating switch quickly heats the water to the preset water temperature.⏰ Automate tasksThere are two types of automated tasks: timed heating to the minimum temperature and timed sterilization.📊 See clearly where the electricity comes fromOpen the data dashboard to check heating rod electricity usage by daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly views.📲 Ready to give it a try?Bind AC ELWA 2 in accordance with the guidelines, set the temperature, and add it to redundant PV priority. Once added, the device will switch from manual mode to solar mode.📸 It's all set up. Let's take a look!Post a screenshot of the bound device in the comments and tell us:Is it just set up, or has residual electricity been used for heating? If you're already using it, you can also post a screenshot of the data dashboard and write about something you've noticed so far.Still in the setup? Tell us where you're stuck and what you see in the app, and the community can discuss it together. Before sending screenshots, please conceal your personal information or device SN.Come and show off your photovoltaically heated water! ☀️👇

Disconnected Solar Panels.

If I mount 2 or more solar panels onto the roof of the Art Shack, does it matter if the solar panels are exposed to the sunlight and producing power, but not connected to a battery because that has been moved to a different location? In this scenario, the solar panels would have a trip switch, an isolator at the battery end of its cable, so the exposed ends would be safe to touch and there would be no Ark or Short risk when plugging the battery back in later.

I built a macOS menu bar app for EcoFlow — check your battery without touching your phone

Hey EcoFlow fam! I built a small macOS app called EFStatus that shows your battery stats right in the menu bar — no need to grab your phone or open the app every time you want to check what's going on.It shows:Battery % and Wh remainingWatts coming in and going outTime to full / time to emptyColor-coded bar so you know at a glance if you're good or running low 🟢🟠🔴Uses the official EcoFlow developer API so the data is real-time. I built it because I got tired of picking up my phone just to check if my DELTA 2 was still charging 😅If you're on a Mac and want to try it → bereto.gumroad.com/l/efstatusHappy to answer any questions here! And if you try it on a model other than DELTA 2 or DELTA 3, let me know how it goes 🙌

Which team are you: "One Large Power Station (e.g., DELTA Pro 3)" or "Multiple 1k/2k Units"?

Recently, 1kWh (like the DELTA 3 Classic) and 2kWh (like the DELTA 3 2000 Air) class portable power stations have been heavily discounted. Even if you buy two units to get a total capacity of 3kWh to 4kWh, the total cost is less than half the price of a single ultra-large unit like the DELTA Pro 3.While a single large unit obviously has higher output limits for running multiple heavy appliances simultaneously, I personally see huge advantages in running a multi-unit setupBetter suited for Japanese-style/smaller homes: They are lighter, much easier to maneuver, and can be placed in different rooms.Risk Management (Redundancy): If one unit fails, the system doesn't completely collapse. You still have a working backup unit.Cost-Effectiveness: You get equivalent total capacity for a fraction of the cost.I'm planning to charge them using two 400W solar panels. What do you all think? Do you prefer a "Smart Single Large Unit" setup or a "Budget-Friendly Multi-Unit with Redundancy & Portability"? I’d love to hear your thoughts and any actual setup recommendations!

The power of ‘Word of Mouth’.

Having purchased our Delta 3’s I was so impressed that I told some others people about them. Two of the people I told went on to purchase their own Delta 3 products and are very happy with them. It might be interesting to know how many of the people you informed about your Ecoflow went on and purchased as well? From that we could gauge the power of ‘Word of Mouth’.

Genuine Amphenol/H4 connector for 800w

I purchased the EF ECOFLOW STREAM 800W Microinverter with 2 × 500W solar panels as an introduction to solar. It came in two parts: first, a recorded-delivery cable, then a rather precarious pallet containing the panels. When the pallet arrived, there appeared to be no solar connection cables included. After spending around £60 on connectors that were never delivered, I then found out that the panel connectors were Amphenol/H4, meaning I needed the correct genuine Amphenol/H4 connectors for this 800W setup. At the moment, the whole thing is basically a garden ornament, because it has no connecting cables and I cannot source the correct 1 m Amphenol/H4 cable locally. The pallet itself also showed signs of the forks from a pallet truck entering or pressing into the package, so I really need to be able to test this equipment as soon as possible to make sure the panels have not been damaged. I have now had to order the cables separately and am waiting another five days for the three cables I was able to obtain. Not exactly the introduction to solar I was expecting.

Getting back to providing for ourselves, a bit anyway.

In a changing world where power outages are becoming more frequent, whether that’s because storms bring down overhead cables or because demands on the Grid are pushing it to breaking point, perhaps it’s more important than ever for us to stop just relying on someone else like big organisations to be the sole provider and start to get back to the way it used to be, when we tended to provide more for our own families.Peace of Mind and various levels of Power independence could be summed up in a single word, Ecoflow.

Looking after our stuff.

I purchased this radio a Grundig Satellite 3400 Professional, In 1981 It still looks like new and works as expected. I look after my stuff so I'm hoping that the very complex Ecoflow Delta 3's last as long as they have been designed to. Handling them, the build quality is there and Watching a tear down video shows quality components and suggests that they should.
