I now have 2x 10,000 and 1x 5000 Rapid Mag powerbanks.These are really convenient little devices to throw in your pocket and carry along for the day  because they are super slim and compact. I like to leave one fully charged in the car glovebox just in case I need an extra phone charge while I'm out and about.You can use these powerbanks for wireless charging by sticking them to the back of your phone with MagSafe or a MagSafe cover, but you get a more efficient charge by using a usb c cable which comes included with this model. The weather today is absolutely perfect! ☀️I immediately ran a power generation test on my 125W solar panel.With such great weather, it smoothly delivered performance close to its rated capacity. But halfway through, I suddenly wondered, "How much does the output drop when a shadow falls on the panel?" so I decided to do a quick experiment!Normal Conditions: Taking full advantage of the clear skies, it charged at a solid 125W!With a Small Hand Shadow: Just blocking a tiny part dropped the output instantly to 85W...!With an Arm Shadow: Increasing the shadow area even further caused the output to plunge to just 23W–25W...!It was a great test that reminded me how drastically solar panel output drops due to the characteristics of series circuits, even when just a portion is shaded.To maximize charging efficiency for a portable power station, securing a spot with "100% direct sunlight"—avoiding even tiny shadows from utility poles, trees, or yourself—is super important! Keep an eye out for surrounding shadows when setting up your panels! ✨

Rapid Pro power bank is amazing. 20k, 230w,100w retractable cord is the best thing ever. I won this from EF and want to thank them again after using this regularly 2 months. My only two wishes is to fine a base charging statio whicb I can’t find and would love to see a future 120c plug on it.

I just checked my eBay and got a notification that there's an Ecoflow livestream. There are used and refurbished items on sale with Ecoflow discounts and extra 15% eBay discount. There's also an auction of items. One was a refurbished RapidPro that sold for $49. Bidding is during the livestream. I'm not sure when this event occurs but just letting interested parties know. Costco just dropped the price to 199 for the model of the River 3 plus with the mag battery packs. This is pretty much the best deal out there for non eBay store pricing. I know there was some interest in this model and talk of it going away, so if you want one, grab one. In other news, Costco seems to have dropped just about all other ecoflow offerings but do have a dpux deal in their holiday guide. Not sure what's going on with this distribution channel.

Möglichst viel selbst nutzen, aber eben so, dass man die Energie später auch braucht. Alles um jeden Preis zu speichern, muss sich schließlich auch rechnen.

However, there is an important compatibility distinction. EcoFlow specifies that this particular accessory is designed for the original GLACIER and is not compatible with the GLACIER Classic 35L, 45L or 55L models.I think this is worth pointing out because products can share a family name without sharing the same accessory mounting arrangements. Before ordering replacement parts or mobility accessories, checking the exact model is always a good idea.

One accessory I hadn't considered discussing before is EcoFlow's WAVE Series Stabilizing Strap Kit. It's designed to secure the WAVE 2 or WAVE 3, together with its add-on battery, to a horizontal surface in places such as RVs and yachts.What caught my attention is that EcoFlow specifically recommends checking the screws and strap connections regularly because bumps can cause them to loosen. There is a real mechanical reason behind that recommendation. Under repeated transverse vibration, small movements can occur between the surfaces held together by a fastener. Over time, this can reduce the clamping force and contribute to self-loosening. A mounting arrangement can therefore feel perfectly secure when first installed and still need periodic inspection after travelling over rough roads. I also appreciate that EcoFlow recommends using a wooden board on the mounting surface to avoid damage from drilling.

I noticed that EcoFlow's WAVE Series Car Vent Kit has a UPF 50+ rating. That's an interesting specification, especially for something designed to cover part of a vehicle window.There is a small distinction worth making here: UPF measures protection against ultraviolet radiation, not the total amount of solar heat entering a vehicle. That's excellent UV protection, but sunlight also contains visible and infrared radiation, which contribute to heating.

Foldable products have an obvious advantage: they take up less room when they're not being used. But there is another side to that convenience that I find worth discussing.Because the cup is designed to collapse and unfold, its material has to tolerate repeated deformation rather than simply maintain one fixed shape.This brings us to elastomer fatigue. When a flexible material is repeatedly bent or stretched, tiny defects can eventually develop into cracks. With enough cycles, those cracks may grow and lead to material failure. The result depends on several factors, including the material formulation, the amount of deformation, the geometry of the folds and the surrounding conditions. A material being flexible doesn't automatically mean it will tolerate unlimited folding.

Something I find interesting about flashlight specifications is that two models with the same lumen rating can produce very different results in actual use. Lumens measure total visible light output. Candela, on the other hand, describes luminous intensity in a particular direction. A concentrated beam can therefore reach farther than a much wider beam, even when both lights produce a similar total amount of light.

A gardening tool can look perfectly simple, but its handle makes a bigger difference than people sometimes realize. EcoFlow has a Garden Kit that includes several small iron gardening tools with painted surfaces and rubber handles. That combination caught my attention because the relationship between the handle and the user's hand is an important part of tool design.There is more to a comfortable grip than simply choosing a soft material. Handle diameter, shape, length and friction all influence how much effort is needed to hold and control a tool. An unsuitable handle can also force the wrist into an awkward position during repetitive work.

I’m in the rabbit hole of searching and reading things about power stations, and being off-grid, and I have learned so much from this community. I’d like to speed up my maturity and learning process so I thought of just posting it here and ask you all! Thank you!

You see, it is in situation like what is currently going on in the world with its warnings of possible power outages after the US mid-term election, that EcoFlow power back up is some form of reassurance! To wake up with no electricity not knowing how long it will last can bring some anxiety, but having the luxury of still making your cup of coffee or tea and find comfort in sitting down and figuring out the next step, while no break in your morning routine, brings for a moment (important as small as it is) some peace of mind. Also, knowing, depending on what device you purchased, and having an idea of what to prepare for food needing electricity that uses as little % output! I found that smoothies with a magic bullet has low output so as a bowl of popcorn that is filling and nutritious if you add nutritional yeast (full of B vitamins). I also found that boiling 1 cup of water takes less % output than 1 litre of water (actually 4X less)! May my mini tips help someone who might just be starting in the world of EcoFlow! Just got my hands on the EcoFlow PowerInsight!Set it up right away, but it looks like out of all my gear, only the DELTA Pro 3 is currently supported... 😱The display is gorgeous and the dashboard layout is top-tier, so it feels like such a missed opportunity!
