Portable solar priorities for smaller river setups

Question for solar users: when you’re sizing a portable panel for a smaller river setup, what has mattered more in practice: quick charging in short weather windows, easy transport, or enough panel capacity for cloudy days? I’m trying to understand the real trade-offs before choosing a panel rather than just chasing the biggest wattage on paper.
