Anyone using a breaker like disconnect with solar?

Is anyone that runs solar directly into ecoflow units using a protected disconnect like this to shield the ecoflow unit from unexpected power passthrough? I was just looking for disconnects but wanted to get a pulse on if something like this provides any value, they have everything from 15amp and up

Can the RAPID Pro Charge Directly From a Solar Panel? ☀️🔋

I had to try it. I connected my EcoFlow 45W and 60W panels directly to my 20,000mAh RAPID Pro using USB-C. Both panels got close to the 15W USB-C limit, but every time they approached it, the RAPID Pro showed an “Abnormal Voltage” error and the input dropped back to zero.I didn’t expect this to work since it isn’t advertised as a supported setup, but it was still a fun experiment. The solar panels don’t provide the same stable output as a normal USB-C charger, and apparently the RAPID Pro wasn’t having it. 😄

Camping setup

Purchased 55l fridge powered by the delta 2 max and 220w solar panel and 500w inverter Have spent 35 days off grid in the bush so far this year. Have recommended these products to several friends that are now rocking a similar setup. Highly recommend

Completed project.. for now

Well I showed the various stages of the build so I figured I would put up the end product. I'm sure there will be some enhancements but everything is back together and hopefully somewhat stable energy flowing in on a daily basis. I'm hoping to maintain at least 50% input over the winter with longer shadows and shorter days but we'll see what the data says

Added two more panels

Ended up adding two more panels to the deck array yesterday but man, hardly even making a blip in the energy creation. In all fairness I'm not sure what the wattage ratings on these things are or if they have any shade tolerance.

Recently bought the STREAM microinverter kit with 2x 500W (bifacial) panels, and installed it at the end of August.We have hard-wired our system and registered with our DNO.So far, our first experience with microgeneration has been excellent, and the whole ecoflow system has been user friendly.Looking to get the STREAM 5000 next.

SH2 + DPU + Solar

I have had two DPUs providing backup power for our small house for a couple of years now and it is great for power outages. The SHP2 makes it a set-and-forget process. This summer I built a ground mount solar system to charge the DPU's. Each DPU is fed by nine 435 watt Maple Leaf panels. Yesterday we ran our house entirely off-grid for the first time. The system has worked flawlessly so far. Very addictive and satisfying to see that free power coming in!

Question for solar users: when you’re sizing a portable panel for a smaller river setup, what has mattered more in practice: quick charging in short weather windows, easy transport, or enough panel capacity for cloudy days? Using EcoFlow batteries to shift solar power into evening hours

I’m interested in using EcoFlow batteries less as “emergency backup only” and more as a way to store daytime solar production for evening use.For those doing this, how are you managing it day to day? Are you charging from solar during peak sun and then using battery power at night for specific loads, or do you have it tied into a more automated setup?I’m also curious how people think about battery cycling. Is the savings/convenience worth using the battery regularly, or do you mostly preserve it for backup?Would love to hear real-world examples of what you power in the evening and how much battery capacity actually feels useful.

219W Out of 200W! Wow! ☀️

I received two more EcoFlow 100W rigid panels and put them in series for a test with my DELTA 2. I took some time to get the angle just right, and they peaked at an incredible 219W of solar input. That’s 109.5% of the panels’ combined rated wattage! I already have four of these panels, so now I’m looking forward to testing all six together, 2 in series and 3 in parallel. ☀️⚡️

I would love a firmware update that allows you to charge the battery at full rate 600 W and only sending amount over that to the grid. Because some days when the power is cheap, I want to charge the battery as much as possible but if I put it power storage, I will waste everything over 600 WSo we Ecoflow please help me with this?

If I Could Add Solar Tomorrow… ☀️

The south facing front roof on the second floor is the clear winner. Zero shade and enough space for about 5000W of panels. I need a new roof soon anyway so holding off until then feels like perfect timing. Going to be a fun one. ⚡️

Interested in adding ground-mounted solar to my EcoFlow system

I’m considering adding some ground-mounted solar instead of relying only on roof panels or portable panels.The idea would be to feed more solar into my EcoFlow setup and make better use of battery storage during the day. I have more flexibility on the ground than on the roof, and I like the idea of being able to angle the panels well and service them more easily.For anyone who has added ground-mounted solar to an EcoFlow system:What panel/wiring setup did you go with?Did you run into any voltage/current limits with EcoFlow solar input?How far are your panels from the unit, and did voltage drop become an issue?Would you do anything differently?I’m still early in planning, so I’m trying to understand what works well before buying panels or racking.

Do You Move Your Solar Panels for Winter?

I’ll be moving my DIY solar panels setup soon so they can catch more of that winter sun. The sun sits lower in the sky during the winter, and some areas around my house get more sun. I want to make sure I’m getting as much solar power as possible to keep my EcoFlow units charged. Does anybody else move or adjust their solar panels when the seasons change?

Every time I fold up my EcoFlow 60W panel, it reminds me of an 80s Trapper Keeper. The size, weight and especially the way it folds up just bring me right back. I’ve officially nicknamed it the EcoFlow Trapper Keeper. 😄

Any tips on how to charge your ecoflow with a car battery? I am electrifying my RV and I want to use the ecoflow as the inverter instead of another device. Can i just hook up my battery string to the xt60 port?
