Using EcoFlow batteries to shift solar power into evening hours
I’m interested in using EcoFlow batteries less as “emergency backup only” and more as a way to store daytime solar production for evening use.
For those doing this, how are you managing it day to day? Are you charging from solar during peak sun and then using battery power at night for specific loads, or do you have it tied into a more automated setup?
I’m also curious how people think about battery cycling. Is the savings/convenience worth using the battery regularly, or do you mostly preserve it for backup?
Would love to hear real-world examples of what you power in the evening and how much battery capacity actually feels useful.
