Keeping the Home I Grew Up In Dry 🏠⚡ and Making My Parents Proud ❤️ #PowerBelongsHere
This house means a little more to me than just being the place I live.
It’s the house I grew up in. After my brother passed away and my parents divorced, I eventually had the opportunity to buy it from them and make it my own. Along with all the good memories, though, I also inherited one problem that has followed this house for as long as I can remember: water intrusion.
Our local area can experience some really extreme flooding and unfortunately, sometimes my house can be in the path of danger. When the rain really comes down, keeping the partially finished basement dry depends heavily on the sump pump. Unfortunately, the same storms that bring all that water can also bring power outages—and a sump pump without electricity doesn’t do much good.
That’s where my EcoFlow has become more than just a convenient portable power station.
During storms and outages, I can use it to keep the sump pump running, keep an eye on everything, and know that I have another layer of protection between a heavy rainstorm and a flooded basement.
My parents remember how stressful flooding at this house could be, so they're genuinely proud to see me finding ways to protect the place they raised me in. I think that might be my favorite part of owning this house: taking something they worked hard for, making it my own, and hopefully leaving it a little better than I found it.
EcoFlow can't stop the rain, but when the power goes out, it gives me the ability to keep fighting the water.
For me, that's exactly where power belongs. ❤️⚡
