I added this as a comment to EF talk, but here it is as a separate post because Until I typed it, I hadn't realised how long ago this all started.

35 years ago I worked in a big building that had a huge backup generator set up Capable of powering about 120 rooms.
A large Rolls Royce engine connected to a GEC generator.
It was so impressive that I wanted backup power for the house, just in case there was an outage, but Working hard, loads of overtime, always busy, one thing after another, I never got around to it, until late last year when I decided to start getting backup power.
I purchased my first Ecoflow, shortly after that I got my second. In simulated power outages they have proved to be useful. My original wish list was for 4kW of stored power. At the moment we’ve got 2.5kW Obviously, it would appear that my journey isn’t complete yet.
