What I’m Learning About TITAN
I’ve been reading through the other TITAN and SHP10 testers’ posts while I wait for my panel to be installed. I appreciate hearing what went well and what gave them trouble. Both help me know what to expect.
One tester ran a dryer, microwave, and other household loads and reported reaching almost 7,500 watts without the system shutting down. Another said their TITAN started a 3.5-ton air conditioner without a soft starter. Those are their experiences, but they caught my attention. So far, my own testing has been standalone, including running two air fryers together.
What I’m paying closer attention to now is how the SHP10 will fit into my everyday routine. Being able to see what each circuit is using, choose what stays on during an outage, and schedule charging sounds useful for my house.
But some testers also had trouble with charging settings, incorrect times in the app, and the battery not discharging when they expected it to, sounds like a firmware update can fix all that. One shared a response from EcoFlow saying each leg, L1 and L2, needed more than 150 watts for the discharge behavior they were discussing. I want to find out more about that and whether anything has changed since their testing.
OK so now I'm looking at my circuit list a little differently. Before I settle on it, I want to tell my electrician what I use every day and what normally runs together. Then I can go over how those loads will be divided between L1 and L2 and write down the final layout.
Y’all know I use my batteries every day. I want this setup to help with my daily electricity use and keep my important things running during an outage. The power tests are encouraging, but understanding the settings and how it works in my own home I can't wait to do.
Thank you to everyone sharing your testing. I’m learning from it, and I’ll keep sharing what I find with mine. 💙
Thank you EcoFlow
