A lot of us have a fireplace and/or woodstove in our home. Not all of us use it. It’s actually an excellent way to complement an ecoflow whole home / partial home backup system for outage because wood heating does not or requires very little electricity (similar to propane) whereas both resistance heating (space heater) and even heatpump can drain the biggest battery quickly.
For example, at freezing point, my DPU stack (30kwh) likely can last 6-7 hours using both of my heatpumps to heat, 1.5-2.5 hours if I am using 4-5 space heaters, 12-14 hours if I use one space heater to heat one room, and likely over 45 hours if I use woodstove to warm my whole home.
