DPU

Currently have the Delta Pro Ultra with 3 batteries, Delta 2, Delta 2 max and an extra battery. DPU is wired to my house and has been a life saver for power outages. Will be adding more solar eventually but currently have enough to get me through outages. The Delta 2 and the Delta 2 max are mainly used for my bbq setup for Sunday football games. Love the Ecoflow products and will be a customer for life!

Charging Stations with Overperforming Solar is Great to See

Once the sun angle in the frozen north makes it viable to recharge my stations with solar panels on a regular basis, I use my stations a lot for running household items. Last week I was recharging a Delta 3 Plus and Delta 3 Max Plus on a partly sunny day. Because of the conditions, I was unsure if they would get charged all the way. The rigid panels I have on my shed are 320w each. Each panel is run with its own wiring to its own connectors. That means I can I can use the panels however I like, depending on what station(s) I am charging; run individually, some in series or some in parallel. In this case, each of the stations had 1 panel hooked into each of the PV inputs (both stations have 2 inputs). So, each station had the possibility of getting 640w input in perfect weather conditions. However, with the cloudiness, much of the time they were only getting 130w-200w total.Shortly before 3 pm, I looked on my app and some some outstanding numbers. Over 700w were going into both stations!!! Now, this was a short term effect, when the sun had broken thru the clouds, but it was awesome to catch. The overproduction of the panels was caused by several factors; colder air temperature at 40*F, there was a fresh snow fall to create some reflection, and the "edge effect" from the sun interacting with the clouds (this was probably the biggest factor). Can't complain with an 18% overage of production from the panels, and it certainly helped get the stations fully charged that day.

First Time Camping Family of 4

As the title states, we are newly getting started on our family camping journey and would like something that’s great to start with that won’t need to be replaced for awhile, but also not TOO expensive since we are building up our camping gear collection. What do you recommend?

Which station is better to choose for camping?

Hello everyone, my family and I often go camping by car, and we have a Delta Two and various accessories (I will tell you about them in the next post), but now we do not have enough capacity, even with an additional battery, and in general we want to buy and make a new camping, so the question arises: which station is better to choose, so that it will last for 3-4 days with the possibility of recharging from the sun? I will be grateful to everyone for the answer, as well as for the experience of using it:)

Ask me anything about DIY solar string design for ecoflow batteries.

It’s not easy to design a custom solar string while staying safe for your ecoflow system while maximumize production. I am not a contractor or electrical engineer but have a lot of experience DIY panels! Feel free to talk about string design here! Here’s a picture of my mixed string with many different EF and non-EF panels!

From Renter to Homeowner - The story of Hurricane Prepping for "Stage Everything and Hope" to a Proper EcoFlow Install. Same Rack, Different Life.

Picture one is October 2024. Still renting. Hurricane Milton bearing down on Central Florida. Every unit I owned crammed onto a wire rack, cables everywhere, just trying to have enough capacity to survive whatever was coming. It worked, but it was controlled chaos.Picture two is what the same rack looks like now that I own a place.EcoFlow Smart Home Panel 2 hardwired next to the breaker box. Three Delta Pro 3s with three extra batteries underneath, all connected and managed through the app. No more guessing which unit to pull from first. No more running extension cords through the house. No more ā€œgood enough for a rental.ā€The journey from photo one to photo two was a few years of road trips, storms, RV disasters, and figuring out exactly what I needed before I had a permanent place to put it. Every unit I bought as a renter taught me something. The Delta Pro 3s and the Smart Home Panel were the logical conclusion of all of it.Milton as a renter was manageable. The next storm gets handled properly.Anyone else on the journey from portable chaos to a permanent install? Where are you in that process?#Ask Me Anything #DELTA Series

Surviving the mid-March storm

On Sunday, we started hearing about a major storm hitting our area (Maryland, near DC). The potential for 70 mph winds, heavy rain, hail, and even tornadoes. So, I made sure that all my EcoFlow units were topped up and ready to go, and adjusted the settings on the ones I use for UPS support from a 95% max to 100%. Finally, I connected Delta units (a D3 Plus and a D2) in UPS mode to the two sump pumps in my basement, just in case we lost power when it was raining heavily. I set an EcoFlow camping light on each level of the house, at the lowest output setting, so we'd immediately have light if we lost power. I went around to the solar panels I have hooked on railings and secured them with zip ties, and felt I was ready for the storm. The good news is that an intense rainfall (3/4" in 20 minutes) hit a few hours before the main storm, reducing the power of the later storm; there was still heavy rain and intense winds, but less than initially predicted. In the end, we never lost power, but having the EcoFlow units gave me wonderful peace of mind, knowing that we'd be fine if we lost power.

Adapters for directional charging

Some folks here in the forum and in the FB groups have posted about occasional charging challenges between power stations and power banks with bidirectional charging. I picked up a high speed, high watt USB C to USB C adapter online to see if it would help force the charging direction from the Trail to the RAPID. After a short pause, it worked on the first plug in! I’ll keep testing it out to confirm it fully works, but I’m sharing now in case someone else was thinking of trying this option.

Ask me anything about woodstoving, an overlooked aspect to power outage prep!

A lot of us have a fireplace and/or woodstove in our home. Not all of us use it. It’s actually an excellent way to complement an ecoflow whole home / partial home backup system for outage because wood heating does not or requires very little electricity (similar to propane) whereas both resistance heating (space heater) and even heatpump can drain the biggest battery quickly. For example, at freezing point, my DPU stack (30kwh) likely can last 6-7 hours using both of my heatpumps to heat, 1.5-2.5 hours if I am using 4-5 space heaters, 12-14 hours if I use one space heater to heat one room, and likely over 45 hours if I use woodstove to warm my whole home.

Bazooka light connected to Anderson ports

So I cut my 12v battery clamps and spliced in the properly oriented Anderson PowerPole connectors in order to plug my bazooka light into any delta with anderson ports. This includes me D3M+, DP, DP3, and DPU. I guess using a DPU is a bit of overkill for these LED lights, but I did it in the interest of science. I wonder how long 6kwh of battery can run these lights?

Charging Trail 300 DC from Power Banks

Need to cycle some of my power banks, so decided to top off a Trail 300 DC from them.I started with the EF Rapid Pro 3-in-1 charging the Trail. Note that you can set the C2 port on the Rapid Pro to be output only to ensure there is no confusion between the units. The Trail was able to pull 64w and all went well. That is, until the 3-in-1 hit about 8%. It had gotten quite warm from the fast discharge into the Trail. Once it cooled off, I set it to charging my phone instead so it is slow discharging and all is well once again. Then I set up an EF 25k Rapid Power Bank. Note that this power bank does not have the input/output settings for th eports, so I used an Anker 2 in 1 cable to ensure there was no confusion. It is discharges into the Trail at 63w until the Trail is almost full so it slows the input to 45w to completion.Once the Rapid Pro 3-in-1 was done discharging, I hooked it up to the 25k Rapid Power Bank to recharge. Since I already had the Anker 2 in 1 cable set up, that worked out perfectly.Once the 25k Rapid has discharged completely, I'll charge it back up with the Trail 300. Then, I'll solar charge the Trail later today (it is o'dark thirty as I'm typing this}.

220w portable panel

I'm considering getting the 220 watt bifacial portable solar panel and was looking to see any real world experience as far as the weight, ease of setup and general wattage output to expect to get while charging a delta 2. Thanks
