Living off the grid

hello, my name is Tom and I’m gonna share a story of my Delta pro ultra three batteries home smart panel two how it allows me to live off the grid almost 24 seven I purchased my system back in October. We have had one of the most cold winners, brutal winners in the last 30 years. I had five outages between December and February . Never at one time did my Delta pro ultra how smart penalty system ever Skipped beat and allowed me to stay warm and safe throughout that three months. Now we are going into March and just last week we had tornado warnings and giant wind storms which cause Electric to be out for 24 hours. My system was up and running again

EcoFlow Equipment for the Summer Outdoor Trips

In preparation for the hot weather, I just want to share my Ecoflow gear I use when I go out boondocking in the summer time. Last year I went on a camping trip spending a couple of days in the hot desert, and ending it with three days in the Eastern Sierra mountains. SoCal was in a middle of a heatwave, so I brought all my EcoFlow toys to make my RV comfortable by powering my 13,500btu air conditioner with no soft start all week long. I brought my original Delta Pro and one extra battery inside my truck connected to my Alternator Chargers. I have my Delta Pro 3 with two extra batteries as my main power supply for my trailer. And I have three LiTime 12.8v 280AH batteries wired in series with a 3k inverter. For those doing the math, that’s 30.1kWh worth of power. I used the DP3 as my main power supply because of it’s 4kw inverter. Since I don’t have a soft start, the LiTime batteries and it’s 3kw inverter wouldn’t be able to handle the surge. So I would just plug the DP3 straight into my inverter to replenish as needed. I run my EF SG4000 during the day when solar isn’t keeping up. And finally I use my original DP in my truck to power my Starlink Gen3 and also quietly power dump to my batteries in my trailer during the night as needed. Now some may think it’s overkill, but I think it’s perfect. I ran my air conditioner and stayed comfortable using electricity with impunity. All my EcoFlow products ran perfectly making my spontaneous weeklong camping trip comfortable.

Super-powered office

I dragged my DPU-X up to my second story office for this photoshoot. Okay, it's not directly powering my office devices (that's what my Delta 3 Air 1000 is doing, hidden behind the DPU-X).But I love how my entire whole home backup powers 95% of my home. Using 8 DPU batteries and 2 DPUs attached to my SHP2, all my major home circuits are powered by EcoFlow. If the SHP2 had space for a few more breakers, it would have been 100%.

Off-Grid Car Camping

I am semi-retired and now write for a site that covers the lithium industry, mining, and recycling. As long as I have a cell connection, I can work, so I lead a mostly nomadic life and have built a Cadillac Escalade as a camper. For the last two years, I have been using an older Bluetti with a 100-watt solar panel. It was kind of fine; it allowed me to keep things charged and run my 30L 12-volt fridge. But this winter, I was tired of the capacity angst and upgraded to a Delta 3 Plus with two more 100-watt panels.Typical 24 hours:Echo, tablets, phone, lights: 200WhFridge: 250Wh. On this, it is an old Indel B, and while working, the thermistor seems to fail every six months, but it works for now.Fan: I run this when it is warm for about 12 hours, 150WhBlanket: I run this when it is cold, 200-300WhTwo panels in parallel or series depending on my location and one panel just by itself, connected to the Delta 3 Plus with a 2 foot 10awg MC4 to XT60I cable.I end up around 30% by the time solar kicks in, which I average around 250W i have seen around 290 on high altitude cloud days with two of the panels in series, and get fully charged back up in no more than five hours, averaging four. I stayed with the smaller 100 watt panels since I can toss on the roof when traveling and no problem pulling them back off to layout around the camp. I was limited to about half that, or even a quarter, when it was cloudy and would struggle to keep the fridge running with the old system. And after a month using the Delta 3 Plus, I mostly set and forget it now.What I need to look into is adding more capacity and another panel so I can do more induction cooking, and a new fridge.

Yet another way to charge your EcoFlow Power stations! Solar, AC, generator, and now Vehicle to Load (V2L)!

If you know me, I'm a bit of a prepper who likes redundancy for when things hit the fan. I live in California, and the fear of earthquakes and the eventual "big one" is always on my mind. How else can I prepare for a prolonged outage? I've got rooftop that won't work when the grid is down.... booo! So had to buy other panels, rigid and portable, for a second non-grid tied array. I've got a dual fuel generator with multiple propane tanks, for those extra long outages. Also have a couple LFP batteries plugged into an alternator charger. Now my newest way to charge up! Courtesy of my wife's new Ioniq 9, vehicle to load. I tried it today and was able to get 800w into my Delta 3+ that was recently used for a planned outage. This is perhaps the easiest and fastest solution for charging up during an emergency or outage. Diversify your charging capabilities for those future emergencies!

Powering my grandkids room

One way I cut electricity costs in my house is by using portable power stations in my grandkids’ rooms.My granddaughter runs her entertainment center on a Delta 3 Ultra. She games a lot more than my grandson, so it made sense to give her the bigger battery. The Delta 3 Ultra stores about 3 kWh of energy, so her TV, computer, lights, and gaming setup can run for many hours without pulling power from the grid.My grandson uses a Delta 2 with an extra battery, and when he heads downstairs to play games, he just grabs the River 2 Pro and keeps going.Both rooms are powered by two 380W solar panels, so during the day the batteries recharge from the sun instead of the electric company.And the best part, 
If the power goes out, nothing changes for them.The TV, computer, lights — everything in the room still works. It’s basically a giant battery keeping the room powered so they’re not sitting in the dark waiting for the grid to come back.Whether I’m cutting electricity costs or dealing with an outage, my grandkids room stays powered. ⚡

How EcoFlow has helped me in my life ( My Story)

Hi all, Not sure what I’m supposed to do here, but if it’s just about telling a story about how the ecoflow products has helped me in my life here it is.Well to begin, I started my journey down the ecoflow family of products because they were the easiest for me to figure out and setup, so I started my CamperVan setup with the ecoflow in mind. Also because I am homeless Veteran and needed to figure out how to live in my car and be able to continue to enjoy my video gaming hobbies. In July of 2023 I moved into my Honda Fit 2008 in order to make an attempt to move to south Carolina, from Maine. I lived there for about three months in my car in the sweltering heat and almost died of heat stroke haha. I only had the Delta 2 to work with at the time. Good enough for my phone and tablet games, but sadly the job I was relying on to hopefully buy a cheap home in the area; screwed me over, so I had to return to maine.But this was a blessing in disguise, because when I returned I got lucky and managed to get a better job as a school bus driver in Springfield ma; in February 2025, and continued to live in my Honda for a year; until August when I was able to save enough to upgrade to a Ram Pro Master 3500, and convert it into a CamperVan that took me 4 months to complete. I got the Delta Pro Ultra with 2 batteries, and incorporated it in my design. I could use more, but that's all I can afford, but it works good enough for me, for now.I will add all the pictures this post will allow to show what the process looked like. So now I live in my van, still homeless, but definitely more enjoyable than my Honda lol. Alright that's about all I can fit here for this story, as there's not enough space here to be more elaborate. Thanks and enjoy all, also thank you EcoFlow for your products as they were and still are a lifesaver for me, and I hope to continue to grow and expand with your brand, hopefully when I'm able to get a piece of land of my own. Delta 3 Ultra - Perfect Work-From-Home Setup

Now that the days are feeling longer and there’s more sunlight available, I’m putting my Delta 3 Ultra back in my work-from-home rotation. For regular everyday tasks, my work setup uses between 50-100W of power, but as development tasks increase, so does my energy use. Sometimes I’m using 150-200W! It’s an easy breezy task for my D3U. I can expect 2-4 full workdays of power from it, and after solar and maybe AC recharging on the weekends, it’ll be good to go for the next work week.

First Day of Spring Solar Production

Not bad for the first day of spring. My solar panels tied to my three DPUs harnessed 28.42kwh worth of energy with my motley crew of panels. And my home produced 37.1kwh worth for my Enphase side. That’s 65.52kwh for the start of the season. Can’t wait to see the peak production by the time summer solstice comes around. My Enphase side usually averages 57kwh-61kwh per day.

Completed Installation of EcoFlow Smart Home Panel 2 Co-Existing with Enphase IQ Batteries

Finally installed my EcoFlow Smart Home Panel 2 (Three DPUs) to coexist with my Enphase system (9kw solar panel system, IQ8 Microinverters, Controller [ATS], Combiner, and 20kwh batteries). Both systems aren’t integrated as one, rather the two are wired separately on its own dedicated two pole breaker from the main panel. I have all my critical loads to the EcoFlow side, and left my garage loads—including 50amp EV charger and both my 3.5 ton air conditioners—with Enphase. The EF side won’t backfeed to the grid thanks to the SHP2, but my Enphase can still export for a bit of $$$. Why did I bother? During an outage I won’t be able to recharge my Enphase batteries without installing an expensive Home Standby Generator (e.g. Generac, Honeywell, etc.) By switching all my critical home loads to the EF side, I have a way to recharge the batteries when there is no sun. I have a separate set of solar panels dedicated to recharge my DPUs. I’ve simulated an outage numerous times and both systems seamlessly switched over powering their designated loads and performing flawlessly. Now to max out the extra batteries for DPUs.
