Charging Trail 300 DC from Power Banks
Need to cycle some of my power banks, so decided to top off a Trail 300 DC from them.
I started with the EF Rapid Pro 3-in-1 charging the Trail. Note that you can set the C2 port on the Rapid Pro to be output only to ensure there is no confusion between the units. The Trail was able to pull 64w and all went well. That is, until the 3-in-1 hit about 8%. It had gotten quite warm from the fast discharge into the Trail. Once it cooled off, I set it to charging my phone instead so it is slow discharging and all is well once again.
Then I set up an EF 25k Rapid Power Bank. Note that this power bank does not have the input/output settings for th eports, so I used an Anker 2 in 1 cable to ensure there was no confusion. It is discharges into the Trail at 63w until the Trail is almost full so it slows the input to 45w to completion.
Once the Rapid Pro 3-in-1 was done discharging, I hooked it up to the 25k Rapid Power Bank to recharge. Since I already had the Anker 2 in 1 cable set up, that worked out perfectly.
Once the 25k Rapid has discharged completely, I'll charge it back up with the Trail 300. Then, I'll solar charge the Trail later today (it is o'dark thirty as I'm typing this}.
