The EcoFlow App is very Usefull

I'm not usually a big app user, but EcoFlow has changed that.

My first power station was a Bluetti AC180, but it could only connect thru bluetooth. The info I wanted, approximate time to full charge from solar panels, wasn't available on the app, only on the station's screen So, the app was not really useful to me.

Since getting my first EF station fall of 2023, a D2M, I use this app constantly.

Spring thru fall I charge my stations outside at solar panels and may be charging up to 5 stations at once. Most of those stations are 70-80' away from my back door. I can tell where they are at in the charging cycle, how long it will take at current rate of charge and if a station is getting hot from the sun. I can also infer if clouds have moved in, or shade has rotated onto panels if the input drops. At times I have found I forgot I had set an upper limit on a station so it has quit accepting solar input - and I can change that from wherever I am at (the house, the grocery store etc).

When I am traveling during the winter, the app tells me other things from stations that are set as backup to the grid for my pellet stoves, fridge and wifi. I can tell when a stove or the fridge is running. I can tell if there is a power outage (or an electrical issue) by if there is input to the stations to pass thru. I can even tell approximately the weather by how often the power is drawn from a station off a pellet stove (using the graphs that the Series 3 stations have).

January of 2025 I was on my way back home from a trip (12 hours of airports and flights) and looked on the app to find there was no connectivity to my house. I contacted my pet sitter to see if there was an extended power outage (wifi should be good for 8-10 hours off the River 3+). She said there wasn't an outage. Once I thought about it, I knew my cat had turned off the UPS that sits between the River 3 and the modem/router 😂. So, I was prepared to rectify that immediately when I got home.
