12V Car Socket: Can it handle the high startup surge of a portable tire inflator?
I have a heavy-duty 12V portable tire inflator that plugs into a standard car cigarette lighter socket. I want to test it using the unit 12V car output port on the front panel. However, I know that air compressors have a massive initial power surge the exact millisecond the motor turns on, sometimes pulling way more than 10 amps for a split second.
Has anyone successfully run a 12V car tire inflator directly off the EcoFlow's DC car socket? Does the station's DC circuit handle the sudden motor surge smoothly, or does it instantly trigger the overload protection and shut the port down?
