12V Car Charging: Is it a practical alternative during multi-day storm outages?

If a long blackout hits and I completely drain the station, my last resort would be to take it out to my driveway, turn on my car, and charge it via the dashboard cigarette lighter.

Has anyone actually relied on the 12V car charger from 0% to 100% during an emergency? Roughly how many hours does it take to get a full charge this way, and does the station pull enough amps to risk blowing a standard car fuse?
