Solar Input (XT60): Is it safe to "overpanel" with a 300W panel if the voltage matches?

If I buy a larger 300W panel that operates safely at 36V, will the EcoFlow's internal MPPT controller safely "clip" the excess amps and pull only the 220W it needs?

Have any of you successfully overpaneled your River 2 Max? I just want to be absolutely sure that over-sizing the wattage won't fry the solar charge controller, as long as I strictly respect the 50V maximum limit.
