A common confusion for new users is the difference between Bluetooth "Direct Mode" and Wi-Fi "Internet Mode" in the app.

If you are standing right next to your station, Direct Mode (Bluetooth) is significantly faster and more responsive for making quick, real-time adjustments.

However, Internet Mode (Wi-Fi) is absolutely critical if you rely on the unit for EPS. By connecting the unit to your home Wi-Fi, the app keeps a constant, reliable heartbeat to the EcoFlow cloud.

This ensures that even if you are out of the house, you can still check your EPS status and get notifications if the firmware has an update or if the station detects a fault, without needing to be in Bluetooth range.
