Technical Insight: Why your touch-sensitive lamps act weird during a blackout
When the grid is working and the unit is passing AC power through from the wall, the station uses your house's physical earth ground wire. But the moment the grid drops and the station switches to its internal battery, the AC inverter becomes an isolated, "floating neutral" system (which is perfectly safe and standard for portable power).
Because there is no longer a physical connection to the earth, capacitive touch-sensitive lamps might suddenly stop responding to your finger, or audio equipment might develop a slight "hum." This is not a defect with your EcoFlow. It is just the physical reality of running devices on an isolated battery source. Once the grid returns, the grounding is restored and everything goes back to normal.
