App Strategy: Using the "Discharge Limit" to guarantee overnight Wi-Fi
During a multi-day blackout, it’s very easy to accidentally drain your station during the afternoon if family members plug in fans or TVs. To prevent this, I use a specific "energy rationing" trick in the EcoFlow app.
I go into the settings and raise my "Discharge Level" limit from 0% up to 20% or 30%. When the station hits this floor, the BMS will automatically cut the power to the heavy AC inverter loads.
This forces everyone to stop using the big appliances, but it beautifully reserves that final 30% of battery capacity. I can then use that remaining perfectly preserved energy to run my 12V DC Wi-Fi router and a low-draw LED light straight through the rest of the night.
