My EcoFlow TITAN Experience So Far ⚡️

First, a big thank you to EcoFlow for giving me the opportunity to be part of this field trial! I’ve had the TITAN for a couple of weeks now and have already put it through load tests and outage simulations. I was able to reach 7.5 kW during a load test without any issues. The system has been working flawlessly, and I’m really impressed with how whisper quiet it is. I’m also loving the Smart Panel 10 and being able to control individual circuits throughout the house.Next up are some solar tests, which I’m really looking forward to. I have plenty of ideas for things I want to try, and I’ll be sharing my results as I go! ☀️🔋

Ecoholics Test Lab - TITAN 5000 Plus and Smart Home Panel 10

Hi, my name is Luke and I am an Ecoholic. EcoFlow has blessed me with a TITAN 5000 Plus (I named her Patience) and a Smart Home Panel 10 (Two-Fry). I’ve been using the pair for a little more than a week and they run a few circuits in my household until I bring my 40 panel ground mount online, then the T5K+ can have way too much solar so I’ll add more loads. Please feel free to ask me any questions you may have about this exciting new product. In a nutshell, if you already have a pair of DPs, a DP3, a DPU, or a DPU X connected to a manual transfer switch, SHP1, SHP2, or SHP3 then you probably don’t need a TITAN nor an SHP10. But if you are a RIVER or DELTA owner thinking of upgrading to add some solar or arbitraging power grid rates, then TITAN and SHP10 are worth considering. I’ll unpack more details as I do more real-world testing on my house which currently has:1. TITAN 5000 Plus feeding an SHP10 2. DPU X feeding a 50a manual transfer switch3. DPU X feeding a EF PowerPulse EV Charger feeding a Rivian bypassing the house electrical system4. Three DPUs planned for an SHP2 which hasn’t been wired up yet

Let’s Talk About the Three Different TITAN Plugs! 🔌🔋

Hey EcoFlow Family, ever wonder why the three TITAN models have different large outlets? 🔋They might look similar at first, but they serve different needs—and they aren’t all 240V!🔌TITAN Classic: A 30A RV-style outlet, called a TT-30. This supplies120V only. Don’t let the large plug fool you into thinking it’s 240V.🔌TITAN 5000: A 30A twist-lock outlet, called an L14-30. It supplies120V/240V, and the plug twists to lock into place.🔌TITAN 5000 Plus: A 50A-style outlet that supplies120V/240V, giving it a connection suited to its higher solar-assisted output. Here’s something worth knowing:a 50A-style outlet doesn’t mean the TITAN Plus delivers a full 50 amps! Its total rated battery only output is 7,200W that equal to 30A at 240V. With enough solar assistance, its output can reach 10,000W, or about 41.7A at 240V.The outlet’s shape tells you which cord fits. The power station’s rating tells you how much power it can supply.Same TITAN family, different connections. Check the voltage and outlet type before choosing your cord! 🔋💙

High Power Usage of SHP10 & Titan During Power Outage

During the beta testing of the SHP10 and Titan Plus, testers are asked to perform certain scenarios that would be applicable for our situations. One of those scenarios is High-Power Appliance Usage During Outage. The circuits set up on the SHP includes a mini split, fridge (which happens to include the microwave outlet), two pellet stoves and lights. I'm not generally a heavy electric user, so unfortunately can't even get near the limits that the Titan is rated for (kind of wish I'd had the dryer circuit hooked up just for this test - LOL).I simulated an outage by flipping my main breaker. Because pellet stoves are fairly low draw, I turned on both heads of my 2-ton mini split for heat (which, was set as non-priority so I had to tell the app to turn it on), and set the thermostat for 4* higher than the room temp was at. I held my fridge door open until it started up, turned on every light and ran my microwave (1,500w draw) for 5 minutes. The system didn't break a sweat running everything. Unfortunately I did not think to get screen shots of the max power that was being output. It was not nearly to the Titan's ability, but what is considered very high usage for me.The Titan has plenty of power to handle high wattage use during a power outage, although one must be mindful of how that affects the capacity/longevity ratio.

SHP10 Newbie Impressions

I am lucky and was selected as a beta tester for the SHP10 / Titan Plus and I want to thank the EcoFlow team for this opportunity!I have never used a smart panel before, and the manual was for installation, so figuring out things was very frustrating for me (the manual has since been released). I was also using the beta App, as I was instructed, so the regular app may produce different results. The SHP has, nominally, 10 circuits, although the first 2 are set up for an electric dryer, which I chose not to have hooked up. My mini split took up circuits 3&4, with the rest taken by pellet stoves, refrigerator and various lights. 1st, I'd like to say, for every simulated outage I tried, by flipping my main breaker switch, the entire system worked flawlessly in providing power to my selected circuits. That performance was rock solid and impressive for those of us who have only used an MTS, or stations at POU.Setting up the circuit priorities was easy, and priorities could be changed on the fly. Non-priority circuits are not turned on during power outages, but they can be switched on thru the app. I could also tell how much power was being pulled by each circuit and see real time changes as I turned things on/off.I could not use Self-Powered and Intelligent Modes as the SHP needs to detect solar for those to work. I was able to set up Scheduled Tasks to charge during the afternoon (when my grid-tied solar has max production), then discharge in early morning hours. The charging always worked, although a couple of times it did ignore my set input wattage (I tried 1,000w and 600w so as not to pull more than my grid-tied solar produced). This may be due to having Storm Guard on, but it didn't tell me it was activated.Discharge tasks always worked, but at times immediately deactivated by the system. There is a 150w required pull that may be addressed in future FW updates.Flawless backup performance, with some hiccups that should be addressed in future updates.

Pushing the EcoFlow TITAN Past 7.2 kW! ⚡️

I wanted to see how the TITAN would handle a heavy load with all 10 circuits on the Smart Panel 10 running my house, including the refrigerator and chest freezer. I decided to add a couple of high-wattage appliances on top of that: my microwave and electric clothes dryer, which uses over 5,000 watts on its own. The TITAN reached a peak output of 7.48 kW, exceeding its advertised 7.2 kW output, and handled the load without resetting or powering down!I’m really impressed with how the TITAN handled this test. It’s great to see what it can do under real-world conditions, and I’m looking forward to putting it through more tests! ⚡️🏠
