Using the 12V car outlet for ultra-efficient blackout lighting.

When the grid goes down at night, the first instinct for many people is to plug a standard AC desk lamp into the inverter. But as we know, the AC inverter wastes battery on baseline phantom draw just by being turned on.

A fantastic lifehack to save your battery capacity is to utilize the 12V DC "cigarette lighter" port on the front of the unit. You can buy cheap 12V LED camping strips or bulbs that plug directly into this port. The DC-to-DC conversion is ridiculously efficient, and the cooling fans won't even turn on. You can light up an entire room for days on a single charge while leaving the AC inverter completely powered off.
