EcoFlow Delta 2 max

Really chuffed with my EcoFlow Delta 2 max. Mainly bought it for overlanding with the simplicity in mind over installing a dual battery system and the great simplistic option to expand battery capacity over time, I have this setup charging with 2x100w Ecoflow solar panels on my roofrack and the 800W Ecoflow Alternator Charger. When not overlanding I use the EcoFlow PowerStream at home connected with this setup! works wonders. now the pictures don't look great but as you can see the hardware gets used and abused but remains solid

Stream 5000 UPS?

So, I've got my new Stream 5000 and it's great device for backup - small, big capacity, good enough power as backup, and silent. But the UPS seems to be not as advertised. My setup is: main input, ATS for critical devices (refrigerator, AC, lights, some important outlets...) and everything is loaded for main line when it's live, and switches via ATS to a backup power (Delta series power stations or Stream 5000 now) when the main line is off. It worked quite well from Delta 2, but the switch from Stream 5000 is definitely not as advertised 0ms (UPS mode is turned on in settings), it's more like 100ms, the lights definitely blink and AC turns off. Is this something we can expect as a fix with new firmware updates?

And so my STREAM 5000 is here!!

So excited to get this bad boy installed!

Planning a 100% off-grid build with the Delta Pro Ultra — Advice on sizing/solar? 🔋🇦🇺

Hey everyone! I’m currently planning out a complete off-grid setup for a project here in Australia and have my eyes firmly set on the Delta Pro Ultra system. I’m looking at starting with a 24.5kWh to 30kWh battery capacity bank coupled with a hefty solar array to keep it completely self-sufficient.Since I haven't pulled the trigger on the purchase just yet, I wanted to lean on the community's real-world experience:1. For those running completely off-grid, how has the system handled consecutive heavy overcast or stormy days? Are you relying much on a dual-fuel generator backup?2. What solar panel configurations (fixed rooftop vs. ground mounts) have given you the best daily yield to top up a bank this size?Would love to hear any tips, hidden installation lessons, or photos of your setups before I make the investment. Thanks in advance for the help!

Winter Solar Gain

If you use tilt-adjustable panels, angle them steeper (roughly latitude plus 15°, or around 50° to 60°) to catch the low winter sun and help shed snow or debris.

No smart meter, no problems?

Stream 5000 on its way, Solar panels on the way, Smart meter? Nope, the landlord has asked us not to. Has anyone else had this problem?

Update on Stream 5000 installation

A little update on my STREAM installation.I’ve been using it for a little while now and, so far, I’m really pleased with it. I haven’t connected any solar panels directly to the STREAM yet, but it’s already saving me money.I’m charging the battery on the cheaper overnight tariff and using that stored electricity during the day, when electricity costs considerably more. From what I’m seeing so far, that’s saving me around £3 a day. I’ve got a screenshot to show the figures. To be completely accurate, I do have two panels running through a separate balcony solar microinverter, but with the lack of sunshine lately, they’re only contributing a few pence a day. Most of the saving is coming from charging cheaply overnight and using the battery during the expensive hours. If you look at the screen shot the 0.8p was the day of installation with the power off. So about £3.00 yesterday and 70p so far today it’s I’ve also fitted the household energy meter inside the consumer unit. That was pretty straightforward, although having the three-phase wires attached is a bit annoying when you’re as fussy as I am about keeping wiring tidy. I like everything looking neat! For anyone interested in my installation, the supply connection is via a 60A fuse-protected box fed from meter tails, using 10mm² cable. This feeds into a Proteus metered consumer unit with surge protection and RCD protection. On the solar side, I’ve also fitted a solar connection box with surge protection and an isolator, ready for the panels to be connected. So I’ve included surge protection on both the AC supply side and the solar DC side.Early days, but getting that sort of saving before the main solar panels are even connected is encouraging. Just need the sun to remember where Devon is now! 😂One thing I have noticed is that we burn through power first thing in the morning and that’s convincing me we need to add 10KW of additional batteries sooner rather than later.

Feature request: Stream 5000 overrides in the app to pause, charge and discharge

It would be very useful to have the ability to: Pause the device so that charging and discharging is halted and can either restart when next selected manually by the user, or start automatically at the next scheduled charge or dischargeCharge immediately, overriding any discharge or pause that is currently happeningDischarge immediately, overriding any charging or pause that is currently happeningPlease add this feature!

EcoFlow STREAM 5000 has arrived! ⚡🔋

Well, the STREAM 5000 is finally here and installed! What do you think of my setup? I’ve attached a few pictures so you can have a look.Just got the smart meter to connect up today, then I need to get the export settings updated so I can make use of a decent chunk of the system’s output.Next on the shopping list will be a second battery, and possibly a third further down the line. The aim is to keep building up our energy independence and make the most of the solar we’re generating.Still a work in progress, but we’re getting there! What do you reckon? Anyone else running multiple STREAM batteries? Would be interested to hear how you’re getting on with them. 👍The soar hasn’t been panels aren’t attached yet as the storms have prevented me working at heights. So for the next few days the battery will be importing from the grid when power is cheap and exporting on peak.

Feature Request: half hourly electricity price setting

I've just received a stream 5000, and got it all setup and running. The only problem is the consumption rate for programming in the electricity price in the settings is only adjustable in hours. However, my energy tariff changes on the half hour. Please make the consumption rate times fully configurable down to the minute.

Eco credit campaign last week

Today I received the email with the tracking number for my pillow, which I was able to get hold of last week at the EcoCredit campaign. I'm looking forward to holding it in my hands and testing it in the next few days.😍😍

Stream Microinverter & PEPCO (MD)

Given electricity prices in Maryland we're looking to dip our toes into the water with solar, but not particularly eager to deal with PEPCO. As long as we don't have to fill out forms and wait for replies from them, it seems like Stream is the right place to start. Anybody in Maryland up and running with one? Has it made a dent at all?
