Connecting an Eco Flow "Alternator charger" to a Toyota Hybrid

Since most Toyota cars are now only hybrid only, I thought I would pass on the information I know about Toyota hybrid's 12 volt system.Toyota hybrids do not use an alternator, the 12-volt system is powered by an inverter. Toyota hybrids run off of two voltages, high voltage to propel the car and run the AC, somewhere in the 250-volt DC range, and 12 volts to power accessories. The 12 volt system can run an Eco Flow alternator charger if one keeps a few things in mind. The 12 volt system maximum usable capacity is about 100 Amps at 12 volts. Keep in mind, head lights, rear defog, the radio and other things will use some of this 12 volt total capacity so one needs to factor this in when running the alternator charger and/or shut off these accessories. The other thing to keep in mind is the battery cable that runs from the rear 12 volt aux battery (most Toyota hybrids have the battery in rear) to the inverter under the hood is somewhat thin, around 6AWG. For this reason, I don't recommend running an Eco Flow alternator charger more than 500-600 watts with most accessories off.

New eco Flow products

Recently, someone said that Eco Flow was releasing new products. I don't remember the post or if the person was affiliated with Eco Flow. Not that I have any stake in what they release but I really think two products would do really well now that the market is saturated with power stations.I think a dedicated refrigerator module would do well as another manufacture has done.I also think that an integrated induction hob with a charge controller and battery would sell well and I would buy in a heartbeat. Not sure if Ecoflow has done anything in the cooking realm in the past, but I think it's a market that needs a product.

What’s in Your EcoFlow Go Kit?

I’m putting together a small EcoFlow “go kit” so everything I need is in one place when I’m camping, traveling, or dealing with a power outage. So far I’m thinking of including charging cables, extension cords, USB-C cables, MC4 adapters, a small power meter, and maybe a compact LED light.I’m sure I’m missing some useful accessories, though. For those of you who keep a kit ready, what items have turned out to be surprisingly helpful?

Help Wanted for Plug-In Power APP

I'm looking to hire an APP developer to quickly prototype a simple app that will function like a "Deck Designer" program offered at big box and/or lumber stores. The user will design their own "plug-in power" Kit, by selecting options from a menu of solar panel and battery choices. The app will then turn that plan into a purchase order. The purchase order can be grouped with others in order to get equipment discounts using bulk purchasing power and/or "dutch auction" principles. Participating manufacturers, venders, etc., will have to agree to a comprehensive set of consumer protections in order to have their equipment integrated with the app. If anyone wants to help, I'm ready to hire and pay. I'm working on a late October deadline to produce at least a Beta version, if that's possible.

What's the oldest Ecoflow device you still use?

I came across a River on marketplace with its own bag - a device that predated my introduction to Ecoflow and started wondering what is the oldest device someone on here is still using, and how the battery capacity has held up. Anyone have a first gen (antique) Ecoflow device and still keep it as a daily user?

Good turn around time from EcoFlow

I just want to say that Eco Flow has a good turn around time for repairs, at least in my case. I started the return process in late July and received an RMA on 7/29/26. FedEx picked up the box on 8/3/26. Eco flow received the box on 8/7/26. On 811/26, Eco Flow informed me that they have repaired my unit and they will ship.I am not sure if they changed out the network card, or what they did but I am happy the unit is on its way back to me as its hurricane season and I am down 4000 WH. I am also down to one power station and I like to have a back up inverter/solar controller. So all in all, from 7/29 to I assume by Monday 8/17 is not bad at all.

First trip with trail 200

I was lucky to be one of the winners for the trail 200 giveaway and like it so far. Today will be the first road trip with it, we have my kids autism doc appointment which is 3 hours away so going to be looking about 7 hrs in car total. We are all set for recharging phones and tablet with the 200 making it easier to recharge in backseat and I recently got some of the 6 foot 240 watt cords when they were on sale. Got our bag of snacks and drinks and of course once done with doc we can stop for real food. Wish us luck, big city traffic always stinks.

EcoFlow Power Banks + Small Solar Panels? ☀️🔋

I’ve never seen anyone mention using an EcoFlow power bank with the 45W or 60W foldable solar panels. It seems like they would make a great little setup if they worked together. Has anyone actually tried it? ⚡️

EcoFlow eBay Auction

I'm thinking about buying a Trail 300 off of the eBay auction Tuesday night. How good is the refurbished items, are they scratched up very much? The description states they could be missing stuff or have scratches. I want to give this to my wife and don't want something that looks worn or not working right.

EcoFlow is my new favorite show 📺

I’ve turned into that person who sits there watching the EcoFlow app screen like it’s Netflix. Every little change in the numbers feels like a plot twist. It’s weirdly entertaining. Anyone else completely hooked on this or is it just me? ⚡️

Feature Request - Universal Power Bank Ecosystem

Hello,I have a product idea that I believe would fit perfectly into the EcoFlow ecosystem.I'd love to see a family-oriented power bank ecosystem built around EcoFlow power stations.Imagine a docking station (or a built-in dock on future DELTA/RIVER models) that holds 2–6 compact removable power banks. The workflow would be incredibly simple:· Everyone comes home and drops their power bank into the dock.· They automatically recharge without plugging in cables.· The next morning, each family member simply grabs a fully charged power bank and leaves.Even better, those docked power banks could optionally act as additional battery modules for the power station during outages. It wouldn't need to be a primary feature, but having the option to use them as extra energy storage would make the whole ecosystem much more valuable.I also think these shouldn't be "just power banks." Instead, they could become universal battery modules across the EcoFlow ecosystem. The same removable battery could work with the docking station, EcoFlow power stations, Glacier, portable lights, air compressors, camping accessories, and future EcoFlow products. That way, every additional battery a customer purchases would increase the value of their entire EcoFlow ecosystem, not just provide another power bank.Additional ideas:· Built-in USB-C cable on every power bank.· Qi2 wireless charging support.· EcoFlow app showing the charge level/health of every docked power bank.· Ability to purchase additional power banks separately.I think this would create a unique ecosystem that no major brand currently offers and would make EcoFlow even more useful for everyday family life, not just emergencies.Thank you for considering this idea.

My new Trail 200 has arrived!

I was lucky to be one of ten winners in the #PowerAnything Round 2 event, and my prize was a Trail 200. It’s nice! I’ve put it right in the rotation next to my Trail 300. It may become my most-used EcoFlow unit! I’m thinking of building a shelf behind my sofa and this will fit perfectly to charge my phone and game controllers. Thanks, EcoFlow!

Moments with Energy in Cyprus 🇨🇾

Cyprus is full of sunny days, beautiful beaches, and unforgettable outdoor adventures. Whether it's enjoying a peaceful sunset by the sea, spending a weekend in the mountains, or relaxing with family on a picnic, reliable power makes every moment even better. EcoFlow is the perfect companion for keeping devices charged, running a portable fridge, or powering lights after sunset. Every adventure becomes more comfortable when clean, portable energy is always within reach. That's what I call making the most of every moment with energy.

EcoFlow Trail Plus 300 DC

I've been using the EcoFlow Trail Plus 300 DC for a while now, and it's become one of those things I end up grabbing almost every day rather than just for camping. Some of the ways I've been using it:- Keeping my phone, watch and earbuds topped up.- Charging cameras and drones when I'm out taking photos.- Running a portable fan while sitting outside.- Charging a Bluetooth speaker for. - Keeping tablets and laptops charged while travelling.- Using the built in light around the shed instead of carrying a separate lantern.- Having it in the car as a backup in case someone needs to charge a device. It's surprisingly handy considering it only weighs around 2.3kg, and the pure DC design means it's great for USB-C devices without needing an AC inverter. Plus, being able to charge multiple devices at once has been more useful than I expected. What are you all using your Trail Plus 300 DC for? I'd love to hear some ideas I haven't thought of yet!
