Disconnecting by Plugging In

EcoFlow powering my camping life from the desert, to the mountains, to the river. DPUs in my home, and DPs in my home away from home.
Marquess Ray Wong

Today was a pretty ordinary day, but for some reason, my mood felt slightly unsettled.

😀I didn’t wake up particularly early, but not too late either. The sunlight outside was a bit harsh—not the warm kind, more like a reminder that a new day has already begun, and I should get moving too. When I looked at myself in the mirror while getting ready, it was the same familiar face. Not better, not worse. Life kind of feels like that too—just fluctuating within a range that’s barely noticeable. Most of the day was filled with work. It wasn’t overwhelming, but not relaxed enough to completely zone out either. There were a few moments when my mind drifted. Random thoughts came up—like where I’ll end up living in the future, or whether what I’m doing now is really what I want long-term. No answers, and honestly, I didn’t feel like digging too deep.Lunch was pretty casual. I’ve been caring less and less about what I eat. It used to be something I looked forward to, but now it’s more like “as long as I’m full, that’s enough.” Sometimes I wonder if that means my enthusiasm for things is slowly fading. The afternoon passed quickly, almost like it was compressed. Before I knew it, the sky was already getting darker. That short stretch of time in the evening was actually the most comfortable—softer light, quieter surroundings, and I felt a bit more at ease.At night, being alone brought a slight sense of emptiness. Not exactly loneliness, just a feeling that something is missing. But I can’t really tell what it is.I scrolled through my phone for a while, seeing bits and pieces of other people’s lives. Some looked exciting, some pretty ordinary. I compared a little, but quickly felt like it didn’t really matter. Everyone moves at their own pace. Maybe I’m just in a slower phase right now.And just like that, the day ended. It wasn’t particularly good, but not bad either. At least I’m still moving forward—and maybe that’s enough.😜

Installed 400a H/O Alternator to run dual EF Alternator Chargers

Last year, I had my 400a alternator installed. I charged my Delta 3 Plus with one AltC, and the Delta 3 Plus Extra Battery on the other AltC. It performed beautifully. Constant and steady 800w charge on idle. Since, I've used both Alternator Chargers to either recharge two sets of Delta Pros with its Extra Batteries, or Delta Pro with one extra battery on one AltC, and the second extra battery on the other AltC. A real game changer, allowing you to leave the solar panels at home during camping trips.

When the grid goes down, I’m still lit. ⚡💡

When the grid goes down, I’m still lit. ⚡💡My EcoFlow Bazooka light paired with the Trail 200 keeps my home shining bright—no interruptions, just power when I need it most. I love this light, that’s why I have 2 😃😃😃.

The Real Winner

Last night I was having some fun—doing a real-life test in the kitchen. I picked up a new glass air fryer and wanted to see which one really performs the best… so of course, chicken wings were on the menu.I plugged the glass air fryer into my Delta 2 Max, while the other air fryers were already running on the Delta Pro 3. If you look at the pictures, you can see exactly how many watts each one pulled. But I’ll say this—the glass air fryer impressed me. Those wings came out juicy and on point 🔥🍗And here’s the real win—with EcoFlow, even without the grid, I can still cook a darn good dinner. Everything ran smooth and steady with no issues. That kind of power gives me peace of mind… I’m not depending on the grid to eat well. Now back to that air fryer—I think next round, I’m plugging the glass one into the Delta Pro 3. Those chicken wings came out juicy and on point 🔥🍗

Main charging station

I caught myself just sitting here looking at my charging station… and it hit me—this isn’t just a setup, it’s part of my everyday life.Every unit you see has a purpose. They move, they work, they keep things running. From room to room, from one need to the next—nothing sits still for long. Once they’ve done their job, they come right back here, get recharged, and go right back out to work again ☺️This is my system. My routine. My way of staying ready and keeping costs down at the same time.It may look like a lot to some people, but to me? It’s peace of mind. It’s control. It’s knowing no matter what happens, I’ve got power where I need it, when I need it.Just a normal day… making sure everything is charged up and ready to go right back to work. 🔋I DO NOT MOVE THE DP3 😂😂😂

A Silent Power in the Mountains

The higher we climbed, the quieter the world became. No roads, no signal—just wind, stone, and endless sky. By the time we reached our campsite, the sun was already dipping behind the peaks. That’s when we unpacked our most important piece of gear: the EcoFlow DELTA 2.Setting it up took seconds. Despite its compact size, it powered everything we needed—lights, phones, even a small kettle for evening tea. As darkness settled, the camp came alive with a soft glow, while the mountains remained silent and untouched. In the morning, the real magic began. We connected portable solar panels, letting the rising sun recharge the station. No fuel, no noise—just clean energy straight from nature. With an extra battery attached, we didn’t worry about running out of power, even staying multiple days.Accessories made all the difference. A durable carry bag protected the unit during the hike, while simple cables and adapters let us connect anything we brought along. A small camping light created a warm atmosphere at night, turning a remote spot into a cozy shelter.By the second evening, we realized something had changed. We weren’t adapting to the wilderness—it adapted to us. We had hot drinks at sunrise, charged cameras for every view, and light whenever we needed it.The EcoFlow DELTA 2 didn’t just provide electricity. It gave us freedom—the kind where you can go anywhere, stay longer, and still feel at home, even high in the mountains.

DELTA Pro 3 powers the 30a RV

Had to test it...can the DP3 run my 30a RV? It's a resounding yes! At 4,000w output, the DP3 actually provides more than the 30a (3,600w) my RV can handle. Ran everything including my rooftop AC.The DP3 only 4kwh, so it won't run for long, but it does run. Pair it with some solar, and it's an indefinitely long power source.

EcoCrates for elevating WAVE 3

The hoses on the WAVE 3 weren't long enough to reach my window, so I needed some elevation. A couple of EcoCrates did the job, but we wary of water leaks, which damaged the corner of the particle board of one EcoCrate.WAVE 3 works well even for a large bedroom during a hot summer.

WAVE 3 carry strap and shower/rinse kit

Some Wave 3 accessories. The Velcro hand strap makes for easy one-handed moving, though I wish it could strap the add-on battery too. The shower kit collects the water to reuse for watering plants or spraying down solar panels.

My take on More Stations Versus EBs

When I first started out getting power stations for power outages, my motto was get another station not an Extra Battery. My reasoning is that one is none, two is one - in other words, if the power station goes on the fritz, the EB doesn't do any good. Additionally, for longer outages, one station can be charging (via solar, gas/propane generator or taking it somewhere that it can be charged via AC) while the other station is continuing with the power backup duties. Now that I have plenty of power stations, I have looked at extra batteries. About a month ago, I bought a Delta 3 EB because I had a screaming good coupon code that needed to be used or lost. Although when I received the D3 EB I had hooked it up to one of my D3+ stations and charged it, I haven't actually used the EB. This time of year I take more and more things off grid AC and use stations to power them, then solar charge each station as it is depleted. So, now I have taken my computer/wifi off the grid and use a D3+ to power them. It takes a little over two D3+ stations per day to keep the setup powered (so a bit over 2kwhs per day). Tuesday, I set up the D3+ with EB (which totals 2 kwhs) and Wednesday recharged by solar (setting up another D3+ to take over the powering duties). I usually have to keep a close eye on the D3+ stations while solar charging. I need to swap them out in a timely manner and charge another D3+ while there is still decent sun. Instead, with the D3+/EB combo, I could let them just charge up without worrying about switching out. Although this isn't th ehugest thing in the world, it does make things a bit easier in the long run. Sure, I could use one of my D2Ms to power my computer set up, but the D2M has a larger footprint, so won't fit on my desk nicely (and under it is a no go). Plus, the D2Ms have other jobs.I still stand by my motto of getting another station as to an EB to start with, but once you have a backup for your backup, an EB can certainly fill the bill.

Starlink Mini with EF River, Trail 300DC, and Rapid PRO

I thought I'd share my experiences with using the Starlink Mini plugged into the EF River 3 and Trail 300 DC. Since the Starlink Mini can be plugged into a power station utilizing the USB-C, it sips power at 20wH and can be used reliably with the River 3 and Trail 300DC. In fact, I've actually used it with an Ecoflow Rapid Pro 27k and actually sustained the power draw for a bit. The best setup I've used my Starlink Mini was putting it in my dashboard or moonroof and have it plugged into my Trail 300DC, and in turn plugged to the vehicle's 12v charger using the xt60i to 12v adapter. The setup is minimal and requires no bulky equipment to haul around.

New EcoFlow RAPID Magsafe Charger

Received my EF RAPID Mag charger for iPhone, Apple Watch, and Apple AirPod Pros. I like how the MagSafe can hold your iPhone in landscape and portrait. So far it’s been awesome as a one stop show to charge three of my most used devices. It also comes with a 40w charging brick which is a nice touch.

TRAILs, trails, trails

I still need to buy the TRAIL 300 Plus, but I have 5 of the TRAIL 200/300s. They are excellent little units for remote work at cafes or camping. There's always a shortage of outlets in public spaces, so if I need extended power, I bring along one or two to share with a friend. We can get hours and hours of work done, powering our USB-C laptops and mini PC. It even provides power to my portable monitors.

WAVE to the astronaut

I love the bag for the WAVE 3 air conditioner/heat pump...reminds me of an astronaut suit. Because of the low energy draw of the WAVE 3, it's perfect for cooling a guest bedroom instead of cooling the whole house with the power-hungry central HVAC.The dual-hose design allows for more efficient cooling. So many different modes from low to powerful. The bag fits almost all the accessories, but not the external battery that sits below the WAVE 3 main unit.

Glacier in bed

The GLACIER 55L has been my go-to fridge and freezer (dual-zone) for the bed of my truck when I go camping as well as my upstairs bedroom for day to day. I love not having to trek downstairs to grab a drink, a frozen treat, or microwaveable meal.It draws far less power than my mini fridge in my office too, so that's a plus for off-grid camping, especially with its battery and/or solar.I love how the lid opens in both directions for convenience too.
