When Backup Power Turns Into a Hobby 🔋☀️

When I first got into EcoFlow, my main goal was having reliable backup power during outages. But somewhere along the way, testing solar panel output, comparing different panel sizes, and checking how much power different devices actually use turned into a hobby. There’s something satisfying about seeing what different setups can do, finding ways to get more out of your equipment, and learning how everything works together. What started as being prepared for outages has turned into something I really enjoy experimenting with.

Also I'm about to down load the eco flow app and learn about it wile I wait for the solar generator to get here! Smart generator 4000 coming next! Then extra batteries!

Yes finally

Y'all I'm finally ordered! Can't wait to get my Delta pro 3! I'm going to be using this set up to power my 30amp camper of grid full time eventually. Going to expand the system asap and run 1600w of solar to it!! Should be great for long term battery power with solar recharge and fuel back up for the raining weeks! We love boon docking long term!

Delta pro 3!

I have finally decided to go with the Delta pro 3! It's a little expensive for me but I know I'll be happy in the long run. When I upgrade the system! For now though the single base unit is a start with my backup gas generator to power out little camper! The goal is to build a totally solar off-grid system for the camper with back up smart 4000 generator for bad weather days!

EcoFlow Rectifier

I only have two 400w EcoFlow solar panels wired in series routed to PV1 of my solar cutoff switch that came with my DPUX. I have had both the PV1 and PV2 connected to my PV inputs of my DPUX even though I only have panels wired into PV1. As far as I can tell, in the time I’ve been doing this everything has worked fine and the charging has been as I would’ve expected given the placement of the panels in my yard.My question now is should I take both outputs from the cutoff switch and plug them into the two inputs of the rectifier and then take both the outputs of the rectifier and plug them in to the Delta Pro ultra X? If so, where would I set the switches of the rectifier? I’m worried that if I set them both to PV that the output will not be high enough to turn on the charging of the DPUX? Should I just keep input and output 2 disconnected?FYI, the only reason I bought the rectifier was because eventually I want to be able to buy a generator and plug it straight into the rectifier rather than dealing with all the nonsense of plugging it into the inlet box of the smart home panel three and all of the associated limitations with charging batteries by going that route.I’ve also thought that I might just keep the wiring as it is right now and then when I do need to use a generator, I could just unplug all of the solar, plug the generator into the rectifier, and then plug both of the outputs from the rectifier into the DPUX.Thanks in advance!

Low solar input

I have the Delta to max and one additional battery and have it connected to three renogy solar panels hundred watts each. The three panels are connected in parallel with a combiner box and using an XT 60 I cable. I’m having trouble getting more than 75 W of input under ideal sunlight conditions.I have been advised that the XD 60 I cable I’m using may not be configured properly and I should get the cable from EcoFlow. I have also watched videos of people modifying the cable by connecting the negative side to the middle pin by soldering it.Any suggestions on how to increase the wattage input from the solar panels would be appreciated.

Delta 3 classic as a UPS

I am using my Delta 3 Classic as a UPS to power my basement sump pump. I have the AC power timeout set to 'never' and everything else is in the factory default. The system appears to work as I hoped. When main input power is present, it passes through to power the pump and when the main input power is off ( power outage) the pump is powered by the inverter. Is there anything else I should consider?

¿Qué potencia en W/h se puede producir con la siguiente configuración a través de las tomas EcoFlow Delta 3 de 1536 Wh?

I would like to know the amount of energy in watts (Wh) that I can produce with the following configuration: a PowerStream800 with two 400W panels (each connected to its respective MPPT), without the PowerStream feeding energy back into the house; and connected to a Delta 3 1536Wh battery, which in turn has its own 400W solar panel connected. How would this system perform when the Delta 3’s battery is fully charged, and the Delta 3’s AC outlet draws a load of 950W? In other words, I want to confirm if, when the battery is fully charged, the energy that can be drawn from the AC outlet would be approximately 1200W.

Midea inverter 8,000 btu AC

Received the AC unit today and loving it. The house is so hot you sweat no joke.I put this in tbe boys room and used the Delta pro at 69% to 1% lasted from 6:05 pm to 12am midnight i will.plug it into.the Delta 3 max now for the night. Now on the percentage that was me messing with it for 2 hours on programming and setting up to temp. I was going back.n fourth on settings to see draw. Sometimes it was stsying on fan instead of switching over. I now have it to do auto switching from AC to Fan and does really well. I am actually cold 😆. Futher testing more accurate was room is steady coming.

First Test of the EcoFlow 160W Gen 2 Foldable Panel ☀️

I finally had a chance to test the new EcoFlow 160W Gen 2 foldable panel today. Using my DELTA 2, I was able to reach 154W in good sunshine. I was honestly surprised by the result and very impressed with how close it came to its rated output.I also noticed several improvements over the previous generation. The new tri-fold design is much easier to unfold, position, and keep straight than the older quad-fold style. The redesigned kickstands are sturdier and easier to adjust, and I also like the built-in solar angle guide. Overall, I’m very impressed with both the design improvements and the real-world performance.

Do You Leave Anything Plugged Into Your EcoFlow?

I’m curious… do you keep anything plugged into your EcoFlow all the time, or do you unplug everything until you need it? Maybe it’s your refrigerator, internet equipment, security cameras, lights, or something else. I’d be interested to hear how everyone uses their setup.

Camping Setup ⛺️

My camping setup varies depending on where and what I’m needing to power. When I pull my trailer, I’d usually bring my Pros just for the inverter power to run what I want inside my trailer. If I’m tent camping, capacity is usually what I’m after, so a couple of Deltas and Rivers paired with my dual alternator chargers usually does the trick. At times I bring my LifePo4 batteries just for more storage. What’s your setup usually?

What Do You Avoid Running During a Power Outage?

We always talk about the things we need to power during an outage, but what about the things you intentionally don’t run to save battery? For me, the dishwasher, clothes dryer, and central A/C can all wait. I’d rather save that power for the essentials. What’s one appliance or device you avoid using during an outage to help your EcoFlow last longer?
